Pascaline Marre lives and works in Paris. For the past 30 years, she has been developing a photographic body of work that explores memory, absence, and the traces left by our intimate and collective territories. Her practice investigates what is expressed through silence, what emerges in what she calls the interstices of reality.

In recent years, her work has expanded into painting, through the use of inks and pigments applied to various supports, in close dialogue with her photographs. This pictorial exploration allows her to extend and transform her research: the surface becomes a space of resonance, where image and matter respond to one another.
In parallel, writing occupies an essential place in her practice. It accompanies her images like a breath, another way of seeking points of tension between the intimate and the collective, memory and erasure, surface and what lies beneath.

Her work, shaped by a quest for fragility and sensitivity, unfolds through a visual language that weaves together photography, painting, and words, seeking to reveal those invisible spaces that inhabit us.
